Best of John Armstrong vol. 4star rating 5John Gardiner IVOctober 29, 2009All four books of this series have the best layout stories you will ever read. Each article has 1 or 2 track-plans, a detailed description of the track-plan, a description of how it would be run, and plenty ideas, methods, and themes you could use on any other railroad. Each plan is not meant as something you would build, but a place to put many ideas that anyone could use for their railroad. This article includes stories on making a RR that "goes places," a story on making a big RR from a small RR, and a story on building a pike to fit your type. Now that this is the end of the series, I look back on it hoping, wishing, begging MRR Mag to make some more volumes in this series.
