It is very well written; the instructions and illustration are easy to understand and apply. Virginia Jensen adds a very personal touch to the instructions and book.

I have used this book because of the illistrations and easy to read directions. So far it is been a wonderful tool. We haven't completed our first bracelet yet, but we are working on it. Getting her to decide which project in the book she wanted to do first took the longest. The bead store is our next adventure. Thank you so much for this wonderful publication.
Cube Bead Stitchingstar rating 5Allison CauseyApril 15, 2010I can't believe that all the reviews I've read to date about this excellent book, have completely missed the major selling point for me!! If you want Englsh instructions for St Petersburg Chain, including the elusive Double SPC- BUY THIS BOOK!!! Of the 23 projects included in the book, 15 of them feature SPC or work developed from SPC! For those beaders that prefer minute beads and are put off by the more frequently available 4mm cubes, never fear. Only 3 of those 23 projects use 4mm cubes. the rest use mostly 1.5 or 2mm with some 3mm cubes, so you still bead daintily :-)). Rebuffing other criticisms I find unfair - if you don't like the colours Virginia has used - change them to colours you like. If you're worried that the pendants won't keep thier shape when worn, read what Virginia has written abouy cube bead properties at the beginning of the book. This is an excellent book that offers something new, different and exciting to the adventurous beader. A very big thank you Virginia and Kalmbach :-))
Cube Bead Stitchingstar rating 4Constance PravechekApril 14, 2010I got a couple of new ideas from the book but I usually use 4 x 4 cubes and a lot of the items are for smaller cubes. The book is worth the money though for anyone who works with the smaller beads.
