Freight yards by John Armstrong

Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Brad SanickiMay 21, 2011Enjoyed very much. When fall comes, I plan on using it as reference when building my yard.
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Graeme BullSeptember 1, 2010Great help to the novice modeller. Other than that, the other reviewers have said it all but I do strongly endorse the suggestion for better resolution of these articles that we download over the net.
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Alan MorrowAugust 24, 2010EXTREMELY GOOD.
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Bill McKeanJune 27, 2010While the volume on prototype yards and their components and procedures was very valuable information, the model yard information was worth ten times the price! Having downsized recently from a house with 14 x 17 in a large basement allocated to a railroad, into a two-bedroom apartment with room for, perhaps a sectional layout 3 x 13 at most, a switching layout is in my future. The hints here will help create that layout. By the way, the yard in the previous layout came from the first printing of this collection. Very highly recommended.
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Michael J McDonaldJune 15, 2010Old but a classic with all the basics, handy reference material in the home modeller's library
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5Richard GardnerJune 5, 2010What's to review? This is a must have classic by the master himself. It's great to have this available for download. I lost my copy when the levee's failed during Katrina (I live in New Orleans) and now having it available on my hard drive is so much nicer. One note though, since computers are becoming more powerful and more people have broad band, I think that increasing the resolution of these productions should be in order... Baby steps?
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5BillMay 29, 2010This is a very informative download. Prototype information is very comprehensive and explained in easy to understand terms as is the modelling section. The age of the info is no problem and is totally relevant to today as well.
Freight yards by John Armstrongstar rating 5FrankMarch 12, 2010This is a very good guide to railyard design. The firt part is about prototypical yards and operations. The second part is about applying that information to a model railroad. Both parts are interesting and informative. I'm looking forward to using this on my future layout(s). This was a very easy download, running with out any problem at all.
