GHS Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze True Med. 6 Strings Light, .013 - .056, TM335

GHS Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze True Med. 6 Strings Light, .013 - .056, TM335star rating 5KenMarch 16, 2013What no one seems to mention about these strings is the better fingerstyle playability. The difference between Mediums and True Mediums is that a couple of strings have the gauges reduced slightly so all six have about the same tension when tuned to concert pitch. This means they all 'fight back' with similar resistance when picked. They immediately improved my flow of notes and balanced my dynamics when I tried them. Now, these are all I use on all my Martin 000 & OM guitars.

GHS Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze True Med. 6 Strings Light, .013 - .056, TM335star rating 5John DziekanMarch 19, 2011I play a lot of fingerstyle in DADGAD on my Breedlove. This set of strings really brings out the true tonal voice of the guitar.

GHS Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze True Med. 6 Strings Light, .013 - .056, TM335star rating 3MichaelJune 11, 2010I tried these because they were what was recommended by the manufacturer for my new Republic Tricone Resophonic. Inasmuch as I've had many vintage National, and Regal Resos, but this is my first Tricone I didn't have much basis for comparison. I wasn't very impressed however. I also got a couple of light gauge sets for my other guitars, because I heard from someone I trust that they were very good. I am a lifelong loyal D'Addario user. (I knew John D'Addario). I tried the GHS light gauge phosphor bronze set on my Martin, and immediately replaced them with D'Addarios! Some people may like GHS acoustic phosphor bronze, but I won't use them again!
GHS Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze True Med. 6 Strings Light, .013 - .056, TM335star rating 5BobMarch 13, 2010I play a lot of fingerstyle and need to have medium gauge unwounds for the fat tone. The big low E also beefs things up. Of course these are a must have for people who are tuning down a lot...the mediums keep a nice tension on lower tunings. Great sounding strings!
