I expected no less from the singers of Gloriae Dei Cantores, directed by Elizabeth C. Patterson. The choice of repertoire was largely unfamiliar to me, and I was delighted to have an opportunity to hear it so beautifully performed. Ms. Patterson has the ability to get inside the music, as though she herself composed it.The quality of the recording itself is excellent with each voice part clearly heard. This recording won't be sitting on the shelf gathering dust. It's worth many attentive hearings.
