The Beader's Handbookstar rating 5Tia DalmaJune 19, 2011This is a great little reference manual for every beader to have whether you are just beginning or have years of experience. It comes in a nice compact size...just a little smaller than the magazines, but large enough that the page stay open on their own! This is packed with all sorts of information, tips, techniques, tutorials, projects and more. This Handbook is like a beader's mini encylopedia...It's great for referencing something when you just can't remember how to start a stitch or what size thread works best in which scenarios etc... I definitely recommend this Handbook to anyone interested in beading! I find it to be very useful and I always have a copy on my work table!
The Beader's Handbookstar rating 5Barbara CashfordFebruary 20, 2011Although I have been beading now for some four years, I still found this handbook very helpful and it told me things that I had never been told before. I would have liked one or two more projects but for someone who has just started beading it is a "must have". Super instructions, easy to read and follow. I would highly recommend. In fact I was so impressed that I have now purchased The Beaders Handbook 2 which is equally good and has lots more projects.
The Beader's Handbookstar rating 5Alene ClarkJuly 7, 2010This is an extremely useful reference book to use over and over. It has pages dedicated to showing strengths and weaknesses of different stringing wire, threads, and etc, which needle to use when, proper wire to use according to beads you are stringing, which crimps to use, along with photos to show proper crimping , and so much more. There is even a chart about the silver and gold beads and findings available made in the different parts of the world, showing the composition of each with comments about quality and etc. I purchased this book for myself at my local book store when it came out, and last week took it over to my local senior citizen's center (where I am the beading instructor of our beading club) and my students were amazed, and asked if it was still available. In browsing to find out, I found this site and decided to write this review.
