(e.g. BBC i-player) I use it with my laptop on the external monitor socket with no problems. Composite and S-Video outputs go straight into the TV. I would almost certainly be as good with DVDs but I don't actually do that as I have 3 x DVD player connected to the TV Excellent product and easy to use.
